Goal #7 – Support Informed Decision-making With Integrated And Reliable Data

7.1   ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø guides decision-making, using computing platforms and services that help to analyze, inform, and guide strategies.

7.2   ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø integrates quality data, providing a secure, reliable and accessible information repository. 

7.3   ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø extends data analysis, deploying self-service tools that enable independent inquiry and facilitate actionable insights.   

Goal #8 – Ensure Privacy And Promote Security Through Transparent And Responsible Use Of Data And Systems

8.1   ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø values privacy and security, balancing the security of information with appropriate access and compliance. 

8.2   ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø adapts to changing requirements, providing ongoing security awareness training, proactively securing systems, and effective data governance. 

8.3   ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø uses data responsibly, committing to transparency and public disclosure.

Strategic Projects

The following projects are aligned to Goals 7 and 8.  See all projects int the

  •  â€“ System to track all points of engagement within the university from K-12/Alliance and prospective students, through campus connections, and alumni engagement. 
  • – ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø will use electronic signature tools and strategies to rethink administrative procedures that are native to a digital workforce.
  • – Continued development of a full featured App that would allow students to perform most common university tasks from their smart phone.
  •  â€“ Campus ID and retail system with integration to campus food services.  
  • – Deploy targeted and personalized communications systems including personalized web experiences. 
  •  - Facilitating electronic exchanges of contracts and signed documents.
  •  - Quad and Village Apartments lock database requires an upgrade by Fall 2018.
  • - This project will define how to roll-out MFA-DUO to campus employees and MFA-Google Authenticator to Students.

    • - Develop a campus Data Governance Policy.  Establishes a process for data use approvals and designated roles.
    • - Improve process for campus units to request purchase review.  Improve ATI review process.
    • - The Library Video Wall will provide information, influence participation and inspire students as they enter the Technology Learning Center.
    • - Create and publish IT Service catalog for all of IITS.
    • - Redesign the IITS website, trim old pages  and combine associated sites.
    • - Implement multi-factor authentication pilot for CFS
    • - Multi-phased implementation to improve My±¬ÁÏÉçÇø security.
    • - Website for IITS to track projects and strategic alignment.

    • Mediasite Upgrade - Install respective Mediasite programs, review permissions, and migrate files to new storage.  This upgrade is on hold  pending further review.
