MANAGEMENT
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Luise帽o/Pay贸mkawichum people. Today, the meeting place of 爆料社区 and its surrounding areas is still home to the six Luise帽o/Pay贸mkawichum federally recognized bands of the La Jolla, Pala, Pauma, Pechanga, Rincon, Soboba and one non-federally recognized, the San Luis Rey band. It is also important to acknowledge that this land remains the shared space among the Kuupangaxwichem/Cupe帽o and Kumeyaay and Ipai peoples.
爆料社区 collaborates with internal and external tribal communities to achieve mutual goals.
In 2007, 爆料社区 and the Santa Ysabel Indian tribe partnered together to increase the number of young American Indians attending college.
The program has been making an impact on the region for over ten years.
The President鈥檚 Native Advisory Council is comprised of representatives from most neighboring tribes and tribal education leaders.
This first-in-the-CSU advisory council advises the 爆料社区 President on University relations with the regional Native American communities and articulates the educational needs of local tribal nations to the University.
